E3 TOP 10 (according to Matt Brickenson)

Like every June, the E3 has left much to talk about. In this annual presentation, where most of the big companies present a roadmap of what is coming, there were several protagonists, revelations and surprises as always. Within everything they showed, it is difficult to choose which is better, however, we did the exercise!

We present our E3 top 10.

ANTHEM

Bioware’s director was at the GDC in February and said he was walking around with a T-shirt of his new game. No one took a picture and no one remembered what the shirt said. This week we see the full potential of this studio in a game that seems to have elements of Destiny showing the game’s depth for which they are recognized.

SPIDERMAN

Insomniac, recognized by Ratchet & Clank and Resistance, embarked on the adventure of creating a Spiderman game for the new generation. Exclusive to PS4 what they showed did not disappoint. Approaching the style of  such successful titles as the Arkham saga adding the agility and humor of your friendly neighbor.

DAYS GONE

When it seems the zombie formula can’t be exploited more, it bites you and turns you over (HAH). From games like The Last of Us (the 2nd shined for his absence at the Sony conference), Bend Studio comes up with this open world with a chilling horde of living dead. Days Gone shows a more strategic approach and not just pure adrenaline

GOD OF WAR

Sony did not really show many surprises this time, but they went deep in all of the titles fans have been waiting for since last year. Now we understand more about what Kratos is doing doing. It seems he grew tired of his mythology and went to challenge gods from faraway places. Now with a child in his care who can talk to giant snakes, we are intrigued of what is going to happen to good ol´ Kratos.

SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY

It seems Nintendo is shaking its slow Wii-U period and is making risky decisions. Mario in what seems to be realistic scenarios and a song dedicated to his new odyssey? We cannot wait!

SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS

SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS REMASTERED WITH TOP TECHNOLOGY. If you’re not excited, you have no soul.

THE LAST NIGHT

We have this indie on our radar since they began posting images of its development. We love the care of the visuals and the blade runnery atmosphere. But what they showed this year blows out everything you can expect from a small indie. 3D, pixels, depth of field, dynamic light,INSTANT WALL PAPER.

BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL II

15 years! How much can they play with our feelings! And actually they really only showed some impressive cinematic, with the captivating universe and characters that promise a lot. Let’s see where they take the gameplay of what they say is a prequel to the great classic of PS2.

ORI AND THE WILL OF THE WISPS

For us Ori and the Blind Forest has been a total inspiration, for many reasons. Now Moon Studios announces the continuation of this great story and it’s not only exciting for us as players, but also motivates us as developers!
